Jen Clay, co-founder of Interactive Initiative, is the new artist in residence at the High Bay Studio in ArtsPark in Young Hollywood Circle. Open Studio Hours: Mondays, 5-10pm during Food Truck night
Catch a glimpse behind-the-scenes of a working artist studio. Dig through textile samples, play with green screen techniques and see live demonstrations of animation and fabric weaving techniques with contemporary visual and performing artist Jen Clay.
Kid-Friendly Art/Video Making Activities: Fridays, 5-10pm during Funtastic Fridays
Join Jen Clay for fun art and video making activities. Participants of all ages can create their own animated GIFs and videos using green-screen techniques and props in “Green Screens, GIFs & High Fives” activity or learn to make their own video games in “ZAP: Learning to Make Super Video Games.” Drop in anytime Fridays, 5-10pm to be part of the action.
Summer Art + Tech Workshops: Saturday afternoons
Artists, teens and community members are welcome to register for this series of art and technology hands-on workshops with Interactive Initiative co-founder Samuel Lopez de Victoria. Topics like Intro to Photoshop, Intro to Game Design, Creating Spaces in Virtual Reality and more. These workshops equip beginners and digital-savvy creators with the knowledge and tools to create their own digital art masterpieces.
