Our augmented reality mobile phone application showcases local artists' works at site-specific locations across South Florida with a focus on a pedestrian experience. By literally augmenting reality through the use of mobile phone technology, our project allows us to fabricate artists' work into digital three-dimensional virtual pieces in real-world spaces with thoughtful consideration to its geographical site.
Anyone using the free application can collect, share, and keep these virtual artworks when physically visiting specified areas such as the Miami Beach and Hollywood Florida areas. Each digital artwork comes embedded with art and artist information, the artist’s social links, and more.

For the Community
Tropi is being created and developed locally by the non-for-profit Interactive Initiative to help connect the local community and visitors with South Florida locally made art and artists in an entirely free, fun, and accessible way to all.
